BPG Champions in the context of Nipissing University Nursing Programs are Faculty and Nursing Students who have undertaken the BPG Champions module and possess a certificate. The certificate is the starting point of a journey of championing the use of evidence in practice. The use of best practice guidelines in practice is one way of translating knowledge to action. The intent of the Champions program at Nipissing University is to put knowledge into action through advocacy, collaboration, leadership. Faculty and student champions are beckoned to inform practice/educational contexts and to change them for the better. The BPG Champions experience at Nipissing University is about students engaging in a continuous journey of improvement and transformation to develop their professional capability of leadership and possess the key characteristics as change agents.
