Lovedeep Kalia

I am Lovedeep Kalia, a first-year distance learning RPN to BSN student. Milton is where I presently reside and work. I would like to introduce myself as driven, calm, and easy-going individual who enjoys creating and achieving platforms for fresh learning. This motivated me to join RNAO's Best Practice Champion program and prompted me to attend a training hosted by the Clinical Best Practice Institute at RNAO. I found it to be an excellent opportunity to interact with others, create social networks, and develop specialized knowledge and leadership abilities that can assist in driving knowledge transfer.  Utilising the knowledge in many clinical areas enabled me to execute and support the introduction and roll out of several best practice guidelines at my place of employment.

Consequently, I encourage everyone to participate in the peer-to-peer BPG committee at Nipissing to advance knowledge, promote clinical quality and put your knowledge into practice”

Alycia Baldwin

Hi!  My name is Alycia Baldwin, and I am a second-year BScN student at Nipissing University.  I am the Social Media Coordinator for the BPSO Program at the university and am honoured to have been asked to be a Student Lead for the Peer to Peer Program.

Throughout my professional life, it was of utmost importance to learn as much as possible to be knowledgeable in the workplace.  That way, I could go above and beyond to help someone, and if I did not know something, I would take the time to learn and understand for next time.  My current role and academic studies provide exposure to the RNAO's Best Practice Guidelines.  They have the resources to be knowledgeable and the opportunity to apply evidence-based practices to go above and beyond for others.  I would also love the opportunity to further my leadership skills to implement these guidelines and build camaraderie with my peers.

Hi! My name Kalee Granter, I am a second-year BScN student at Nipissing University. I am from the Ottawa Valley. I am a Best Practice Guideline (BPG) Champion, which encourages me to apply BPGs to enhance patient outcomes in my practice. I am looking forward to this Student Lead role for the Peer-to-Peer program. This BPG Student Lead role will help me grow as a student by expanding my nursing knowledge and using my critical thinking skills. I will use this leadership role to teach my peers the importance of using BPGs in practice.

Hi, I'm Dominic Langowski and I am a second year BScN on-campus student at Nipissing University. I am one of the BPG leads for the on-campus BPG Peer to Peer Program.

The RNAO's Best Practice Guidelines is a critical resource for nurses that ensure they provide the safest and most competent care possible. Through learning and teaching the BPG's, I'm furthering my professional development. Not only will this help grow the competence of me and my peers, it will help me develop skills to be a public speaker, a leader and an educator.
